- Single-site generation
Single-site generation
A plant team running one site can begin with the site, its generating units and the meters that measure energy. The operating record connects a unit to an operational event, a generation period to its unit and each meter observation to its meter. That structure helps a shift team follow an output change back to the relevant plant context.
How Power Plant Operations is set up for you
Shift output
Record the start and end of each generation period with output and fuel quantity for the selected unit.
Meter review
Inspect reading quality and keep received energy intervals available for an Operations Reviewer decision.
Plant response
Raise alarms or outages at the site, acknowledge them and give a technician a named task when inspection is needed.
A plant team running one site can begin with the site, its generating units and the meters that measure energy. The operating record connects a unit to an operational event, a generation period to its unit and each meter observation to its meter. That structure helps a shift team follow an output change back to the relevant plant context.
Choose one active site and its operating units. Enter a meter with its reading mode and measurement unit, then record a small set of observations around a shift change. Review the resulting energy periods against those observations before accepting them. For an alarm, record when it began and make the task specific enough for the technician to act on. Keep the actual recovery time separate from the time the event was entered.
The manager can inspect generation periods and fuel quantities alongside the unit state. If a reading is estimated or invalid, its quality flag should stay visible to the reviewer. A task due date helps the team plan the response; the completion time records the result. This scope gives the plant a useful first operating cycle without changing the source of its meter observations.
Features to start with
Roles on the team
- Plant Operator
- Records unit operating state, generation intervals, meter readings and operational events at the plant.
- Operations Reviewer
- Checks reading quality and decides whether a received energy interval is valid.
- Operations Manager
- Owns plant response, task assignment and review across sites.
- Maintenance Technician
- Works assigned site maintenance and records its outcome.
- Admin
- Maintains people, access and core plant records.
