How a Precision Agriculture Platform rollout works

Start with identifiable fields and rehearse one complete operating cycle.

  1. Identify fields

Agree field codes, names, locations and area units. Capture a current boundary and survey date for pilot plots.

  2. Prepare people and cycles

Set up user and Team Member records, then add the current crop and variety for each pilot field.

  3. Run field work

Assign a real task, check lot eligibility before approval, capture observations and inspect the resulting task use.

  4. Review harvest

Record quantity, unit and grade on the correct cycle. Have the reviewer inspect the record before closing the cycle.

  5. Expand the scope

Add more fields, earlier cycles and external data sources after the pilot's links and units are consistent.

What the customer provides

Provide a field list, current survey geometry and area, crop and variety names, operating dates, staff accounts, input lots and the unit conventions used in measurements and harvest. Name the manager who approves field work and the person who reviews harvested output. Choose a field where the team can rehearse the whole path from planning to harvest.

Changing it afterwards

When field codes, observation types or units change, review the linked records before importing replacements. Keep earlier surveys and crop cycles identifiable. Update access when an operator leaves or changes responsibility, and verify a reassigned task under the new account. Use the data model when planning a migration.
