How a Print Media / Newspaper rollout works

Pilot an edition before moving the full desk into the app.

  1. Set the edition scope

Choose one edition or supplement, its Editor, due date and project budget.

  2. Prepare identities

Connect people records to users and confirm reporters, reviewers and assignees.

  3. Load working records

Enter the project, assignments, content items, current files, rights agreements, production tasks and costs.

  4. Rehearse decisions

Move a story into review, approve the exact file revision, then publish after current rights checks.

  5. Capture delivery evidence

Record a circulation route with dispatch and returns, then compare it with the edition work.

What the customer provides

Bring the project plan, desk roster, current assignments, active story files, covering rights agreements, production schedule, budget and route names. Decide who owns each approval and handoff. Include one changed revision and one late return in the rehearsal so the team sees how corrections are handled.

Changing it afterwards

When a desk, edition schedule or route changes, update the relevant record and review its linked work. A new file revision needs its own approval. A publication moved to another date needs a fresh rights check. Keep access aligned with the staff member’s actual responsibility.
