Special Sections
A special section has an editorial deadline, production work and costs that may differ from the main edition. Create it as a project with its own owner, dates and budget. Link its content items and production tasks to that project so the Editor can review the section without mixing its work into another edition.
How Print Media / Newspaper is set up for you
Section plan
The project register shows the owner, dates, budget and progress state.
Assignments
The desk gives each Reporter a story title, edition date and deadline.
Rights review
Agreements record the party, allowed uses, dates and contract for linked content.
Expense review
Costs carry category, date, amount and approval or payment state against the section project.
A special section has an editorial deadline, production work and costs that may differ from the main edition. Create it as a project with its own owner, dates and budget. Link its content items and production tasks to that project so the Editor can review the section without mixing its work into another edition.
Select one upcoming supplement and list the stories that must be produced. Create assignments, give each content item a project and owner, and enter due dates that leave time for review and layout. Prepare the current file revision for one feature and attach its rights agreement. Have the Rights Reviewer inspect the allowed use and dates before approving that revision.
Add a layout task and a draft cost. The Production Lead checks the task on Production Board; the Finance Manager reviews the amount against the project budget. The Editor publishes the approved feature after current approval and active rights checks, then inspects task closure. If the section has its own circulation route, capture its dispatch and returns using the linked operational content record.
