Record and accept output

Route attributed production to inspection and receive only the accepted output.

Step by step

  1. Record production Operator

Operator submits the interval for the intended work order with start, end and good and scrap quantities. The recording action requires a strictly later end, finite nonnegative quantities and operator identity resolved through the authenticated person's account mapping.

    • Validate interval and actor identity
    • Updates Production logs, People, Users
  2. Route to quality Operator

Operator checks that successful recording routes work to quality review and its batch to Pending. Material deduction belongs to the material issue action. Finished-goods receiving follows the inspected acceptance decision, using its accepted-quantity evidence.

    • Quality review and Pending output
    • Updates Work orders, Batches
  3. Accept output Quality Inspector

Quality Inspector examines the pending scope and inspection basis, then invokes accepted-output release. Pending disposition is required; Held and Rejected are ineligible. Retain the accepted quantity and deciding evidence so the inventory team can reconcile the result.

    • Decide eligible inspected scope
    • Updates Batches, Work orders
ApprovalA person approves before the work moves on.
  4. Receive finished goods Quality Inspector

Quality Inspector checks that release marks the batch Released and credits accepted finished goods once. Inventory Controller reconciles the selected balance. Replay the release and confirm that the original receipt remains unchanged.

    • Release and credit accepted quantity once
    • Updates Batches, Inventory balances, Items
  5. Check sibling completion Production Planner

Production Planner inspects every batch for the work order. Completion requires all siblings to be terminal. A remaining Pending sibling keeps the work incomplete while its disposition needs resolution. Explain accepted stock separately from excluded output when reviewing the operating result.

    • Complete only after terminal siblings
    • Updates Work orders, Batches

Where it usually breaks

And how to keep it from happening.

  • Invalid intervals or negative quantities reach production submission.
  • Operator identity is resolved from a display name instead of the account mapping.
  • Material consumption and accepted receiving are confused with interval recording.
  • Held or Rejected output is submitted for release, or acceptance is repeated as another receipt.
  • The team closes work while a sibling remains Pending.
