Who it's for

Product teams

A product launch has a visible date but many separate pieces of work: content, training, readiness and communication. A project manager can group those items into phases, name task owners and connect handoffs. Milestones make the important checkpoints easy for a sponsor to inspect without reading every card.

How Project Management is set up for you

Launch planning

Record a target end date and dated checkpoints for the work the organization must finish.

Cross-team handoffs

Connect a review task to the preparation task it depends on.

Stakeholder account

Share a period update that explains accomplishments, next focus and current blockers.

A product launch has a visible date but many separate pieces of work: content, training, readiness and communication. A project manager can group those items into phases, name task owners and connect handoffs. Milestones make the important checkpoints easy for a sponsor to inspect without reading every card.

Begin with one launch and its next meaningful milestone. Build the work plan from real deliverables and choose a primary assignee for each task that needs a clear owner. Compare Project Kanban with Project Gantt in a planning meeting. The board shows progress by status; the timeline shows whether planned dates still support the launch target.

When a review item becomes blocked, the project manager can see both the task and the checkpoint at risk. The owner records the issue on the task and brings a decision to the next status review. If the launch date moves, the project record, task dates and status account should tell the same story. After launch, compare actual hours with estimates to inform the next plan.

At the next planning meeting, ask the person responsible for a delayed review to explain its effect on the publishing task. The manager can then change the dates or scope, while the Viewer reads the updated commitment from the project record and period account.
