- Who it's for
- Specialty contractors
Specialty contractors
A specialty contractor often needs to explain work completed at a site before a pay application can advance. Work packages capture the worker, date, description, hours and charge rate. Site milestones carry the deliverable and amount to be billed. The project connects both to the owner and contract value.
How Construction Projects PSA is set up for you
Crew evidence
Record the activity in a work package and submit it for a guarded approval check.
Cost visibility
Put subcontractor time and site expenses on the same project as the work package.
Milestone claim
Approve the site outcome, check its invoice result and create the linked progress billing.
A specialty contractor often needs to explain work completed at a site before a pay application can advance. Work packages capture the worker, date, description, hours and charge rate. Site milestones carry the deliverable and amount to be billed. The project connects both to the owner and contract value.
Choose a single active project and a deliverable that the owner can recognize. Record its milestone owner and due date. Let the crew member enter one billable package with positive hours and a project, then submit it. The workflow checks the package and approves it; Work Reviewer checks the outcome. Verify the review decision and operation result on the same case. Enter a second package whose project check fails to see how a failed attempt remains Submitted for correction.
Next, record the crew's time and a site expense with a receipt link. Project Manager checks the submitted lists and confirms that the worker, project and date are right. Commercial Lead looks at delivered work and project margin after those records are in place. If hours are approaching the budget, the project manager can inspect the source entries and decide what needs correction or owner discussion.
When the deliverable is accepted for billing, Commercial Lead approves the milestone. The invoice operation requires its project and amount. Billing Clerk takes the Invoiced milestone, enters the pay application number and due date, and follows the claim through receipt or exception. This sequence gives the site and commercial teams a common account of the same job.
