Keys and references
Use the exact record references rather than matching names in free text. Loans.Owner points to team members, Loans.Counterparty to collection items and Loans.Organization to Organizations. Child records use Parent to point to Loans. Review decisions.Reviewer and record attachments.uploaded by point to team members. Each interlibrary request also has its own Organization reference. Record number, Code, copy code and operation key serve different purposes and should not be substituted for those references.
Migration order
- Create Organizations and Users, then team members with their organization and user references.
- Add collection items with owning organizations and eligibility notes.
- Add Loans with organization, owner and collection item references.
- Add interlibrary requests and loan events against their parent loans.
- Add record attachments, review decisions and operation receipts with their parent and actor references.
- Check status values, revisions, dates and linked history before using the imported records for a live handoff.
