How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure QMS for Aerospace and Defense for your business. Begin with one inspection type, one assigned Inspector, a Quality Approver and a representative part or assembly.

What kinds of inspection can we record?

Use incoming, in-process, final or service inspections. Each case keeps its subject, planned date, assigned person and linked characteristic checks.

What happens when a check fails?

Inspector records the requirement, observation, result and evidence. Quality Approver reviews the inspection scope and decides acceptance or rejection. Rejected scope creates a linked nonconformance in containment.

How do we follow corrective work?

A corrective action links to its nonconformance and keeps cause, action, owner, due date and status. At effectiveness review, the workflow checks the retained cause and action; the parent issue closes when its linked actions meet the close condition.

Can we record first article characteristics?

Yes. A first article check records part number, revision, characteristic, requirement, actual result and disposition against an inspection.

Where do material certificates go?

A material trace entry keeps the part serial, heat number, supplier certificate, process certificate and verifying person.

How are audits closed?

An audit moves through planned, in progress and reporting. When the audit reaches reporting, the workflow checks its scope against linked findings before closure.

How do controlled revisions reach the team?

Quality Manager prepares a revision. The release workflow checks the title when the revision is submitted for review and then marks it approved. Acknowledgments link a person and date to the document.

Can our team see assigned work?

The My inspections view lists cases by assigned person. Open inspections and inspections in review support the wider quality queue.

How do we choose a pilot?

Use an inspected subject with a few clear characteristics, one document revision and a quality issue the team can follow from review through effectiveness.
