How do I get started?
Click Get started, then use Proto to configure QMS for Automotive for your business. Begin with one inspection type, its required checks, an Inspector and a Quality Reviewer.
What does an inspection record contain?
It identifies the subject, type, schedule, assignee and decision status. Linked checks hold the individual requirements, observations, results and attachments.
Who decides whether an inspection passes?
Quality Reviewer reads the required check evidence after Inspector submits the case to Review, then accepts eligible passing scope or rejects failed scope.
What happens when a check fails?
The Quality Reviewer links a rejected inspection to a nonconformance with severity and containment follow-up. Corrective action then records the cause, approved response and effectiveness review.
Can an action owner close their own corrective action?
The owner submits implementation evidence. A separate Quality Reviewer tests effectiveness before the action and linked issue close.
How are controlled instructions handled?
Document Controller prepares a titled, versioned document with an attachment and effective date, reviews it for release and records acknowledgments by person.
How do audit findings stay connected to the audit?
Each finding references its audit and carries the requirement, observation, severity, owner and dates. Audit Lead checks the findings against scope before closing reporting.
Where do PPAP submissions belong?
A PPAP submission holds part number, revision, submission level, customer and status, linked to the inspection that provides its operating context.
Can we retain gauge study readings?
Yes. A gauge study records the gauge, study date, appraiser, sample, trial and measured value against a linked inspection.
What should we connect during rollout?
Agree on production subject identifiers, customer submission handling, measurement evidence and staff identity. Test each connection with a representative case.
