Quality service teams
A quality service group can use the Service inspection type for a reviewed case that starts outside the usual incoming or final path. The subject reference identifies the specific work. Inspector records the checks and attachments; Quality Reviewer makes the accept or reject decision from that evidence. A rejected case can continue into a linked nonconformance and corrective action.
How Automotive QMS is set up for you
Service inspection
A named assignee and schedule keep the case visible until it is reviewed.
Controlled instruction
A versioned document can carry the instruction used for the service check.
Acknowledgment
The person and date are linked to the exact document revision that was acknowledged.
Audit follow-up
An audit scope, findings and named owners keep a separate review of operating practice traceable.
Start with one recurring service check and its current instruction. Agree how to identify the service subject and which check evidence the reviewer requires. Put a passing and a failing case through Review. For the failure, record severity and an action owner on the linked follow-up work. Do not close the parent issue until a separate reviewer tests the correction.
Prepare a revised instruction with title, version, attachment and effective date. Have Document Controller review and approve it, then record acknowledgments from the people who use it. Finally, plan an audit of this process and link a finding to the audit, with its owner and due date. The team can see the operating case, instruction revision and audit follow-up without confusing one decision with another.
Features to start with
Nonconformances
Link a rejected inspection to severity, containment and the issue that corrective action must resolve.
Corrective actions
Keep cause, approved action, due date and independent effectiveness review tied to a nonconformance.
Inspections
Plan incoming, in-process, final and service inspections, retain each check and send a complete case for review.
