How a QMS for Electronics Manufacturing rollout works

Start with one inspection cycle, then add specialty evidence and recurring quality work.

  1. Define the quality case

Agree inspection subject references, inspection types, requirement wording, evidence rules and named reviewers. Enter People and Users before assigning work.

  2. Rehearse inspection decisions

Create a planned inspection with linked checks, submit it for review and verify both Accepted and Rejected outcomes. Trace a failed check into a linked nonconformance.

  3. Add electronics evidence

Capture a board defect with serial, revision and reference designator. Capture ESD Pass and Fail readings with the workstation, measurement and limits. Review each against its operational inspection.

  4. Run corrective action

Assign an owner to the linked corrective action, record root cause and proposed action, obtain plan approval and test independent effectiveness review.

  5. Extend recurring work

Add an audit with a finding, a controlled document version and a person's training acknowledgment. Check the reports against their source records.

What the customer provides

Bring the existing inspection identifiers and requirement wording, examples of good check evidence, workstation names and applicable ESD limit policy, board serial and revision conventions, a defect-code list, current audit findings and controlled document versions. Name the people who capture, review and approve the work. Choose an initial operating area where the team can complete a real case end to end.

Changing it afterwards

Review a change to evidence rules or limit policy with Quality Manager before using it on new work. Keep the recorded measurement range with prior ESD checks, preserve document versions referenced by acknowledgments and retain the inspection that originally raised a nonconformance. Rehearse the changed process on a representative case before expanding it to the wider team.
