Connections

Plan the handoffs between quality evidence and the systems that act on it.

  • Food and Beverage QMS
  • Production records
  • Inventory handling
  • Laboratory results
  • Document distribution

Systems to connect

  • Production records. Agree how an inspection subject or product lot maps to the production record used by the line team.
  • Inventory handling. Decide how a held or rejected quality result reaches the people controlling physical material.
  • Laboratory results. If swab evidence originates in a lab system, agree how its result reaches the allergen verification and who reviews it.
  • Document distribution. If staff receive instructions through another service, align the approved revision and acknowledgment record.

How connections are governed

Choose an owner for each handoff and rehearse one accepted and one held case. Keep the inspection or verification reference in the receiving system where practical. Decide how the team handles a delayed result, a corrected lot identifier and a repeated message. Quality Manager should be able to trace the decision back to the original quality record.
