How a Medical Devices QMS rollout works

Pilot inspection disposition and evidence handoffs before expanding the quality system.

  1. Identify the first scope

Choose an incoming or final inspection with a known subject reference, assigned Inspector and Quality Reviewer.

  2. Prepare people and records

Set up Users and People, then load the controlled instruction and any supplier certificate or device history package needed for the case.

  3. Rehearse the decision

Record requirement checks, submit the inspection and have the reviewer accept or reject its scope.

  4. Follow a failure

Open a linked nonconformance, assign a corrective action owner and carry the action through effectiveness review.

  5. Expand supporting work

Add audit findings, training acknowledgments and more inspection types after the core case is clear.

What the customer provides

Provide the operational subject reference scheme, sample inspection requirements, the people who inspect and review, a representative document revision, and sample supplier or lot evidence where relevant. Agree how severity and due dates are used by the team. Use real pilot cases whose decisions can be checked by the intended owners.

Changing it afterwards

Review changes to inspection requirements and role access with the quality owners. Keep old cases identifiable when a document version changes. When adding a new operational source, test that its subject reference and attachments still lead to the intended inspection and reviewer.
