Supplier quality teams
A supplier quality team can use Incoming inspections to decide received textile or garment scope, then use audits to examine recurring requirements with the supplier. The inspection links requirement checks and fabric or garment detail to the specific decision. The audit carries its own scope, planned date and requirement-linked findings.
How Textiles and Apparel QMS is set up for you
Incoming review
Assign an inspector and reviewer for the subject received from the supplier.
Finding ownership
Give each audit finding a requirement, severity, due date and named owner.
Plan approval
Quality Manager decides whether a proposed corrective action is ready for implementation.
Closure evidence
Auditor closes an audit after findings close; Quality Reviewer independently verifies corrective action effectiveness.
A supplier quality team can use Incoming inspections to decide received textile or garment scope, then use audits to examine recurring requirements with the supplier. The inspection links requirement checks and fabric or garment detail to the specific decision. The audit carries its own scope, planned date and requirement-linked findings.
Start with one Incoming inspection and one supplier audit. Agree how the subject reference identifies the received material and which checks must be complete before review. For fabric, enter roll length, defect points, width and unit. For garments, record the style, size and measurement point with nominal, observed and tolerance. The reviewer accepts passing scope or rejects failed scope and opens a linked nonconformance.
For the audit, record the scope and auditor before fieldwork. Each finding should quote the governing requirement in a way the assigned owner can act on, describe the observation and carry a due date. The audit remains open until every finding closes. A linked corrective action, when used for an inspection nonconformance, follows its own approval and effectiveness decision. Keep those decisions with their respective records so the team can tell which work is complete.
Rehearse a rejected inspection and an audit with an open finding. Confirm the inspection leads to containment and that the audit cannot close while its finding is unresolved. This gives the supplier quality team a concrete path for both immediate disposition and longer follow-up.
