Inspection to nonconformance

An inspection starts with a product, inspection type and date. The assigned inspector records results against specifications and cites observed defects. A failed or conditional outcome creates a linked nonconformance report once, so the issue can be contained without losing measurement evidence.

Step by step

  1. Select the plan Quality Engineer

Quality Engineer chooses the effective plan for the item and stage. The inspector confirms the lot and resulting sample numbers.

    • Establish inspection basis
    • Updates Products, Inspection plans, Sample plans
  2. Record the observations Inspector / QC Operator

Inspector / QC Operator enters measured values and defect instances against the source inspection.

    • Preserve measured evidence
    • Updates Inspections, Inspection results, Defect instances
  3. Mark the outcome Inspector / QC Operator

The inspector records Fail or Conditional when the lot requires issue handling. The linked report carries the affected item and source.

    • Link one issue to the inspection
    • Updates Inspections, Non conformance reports
  4. Confirm severity Quality Manager

Quality Manager checks the worst cited defect and the resulting severity. Critical and major cases require root cause work.

    • Set issue priority
    • Updates Defects, NCR defects, Non conformance reports
  5. Contain the material Inspector / QC Operator

The team records what was affected, which action was applied and who applied it.

    • Record immediate action
    • Updates Containment, Non conformance reports
