Service operations
Service work can be inspected after a visit or repair using the Service inspection type. The subject reference connects the quality record to the service job identifier used by the team. An assigned Inspector records checks, observations, results and attachments; Quality Approver reviews the evidence before accepting or rejecting scope.
How Quality Management is set up for you
Named service subject
Use a consistent reference so a reviewer can find the work behind the inspection.
Specific checks
Record the requirement and actual observation for each service condition examined.
Visible decision
Submit the inspection to Review, then let Quality Approver decide the eligible passing and failed scope.
Linked response
Follow rejected scope through a nonconformance and assigned corrective actions until effectiveness is checked.
Service work can be inspected after a visit or repair using the Service inspection type. The subject reference connects the quality record to the service job identifier used by the team. An assigned Inspector records checks, observations, results and attachments; Quality Approver reviews the evidence before accepting or rejecting scope.
Start with a service activity that has a repeatable completion check. Agree which requirement should be recorded on each Inspection Check and what evidence the Inspector will attach. Use a real service reference in a pilot so the quality record and the work record can be located together. Quality Manager should set an assignment and schedule that matches the way the team actually finishes service work.
Rehearse a passing service case and a failing one. For the failing case, ask the Inspector to explain the observation without relying on memory of the job. Quality Approver should be able to read the check result and attachment, reject failed scope and see the linked nonconformance. Assign a corrective owner and a due date, then review whether the action addresses the cause rather than merely closing the service ticket.
The service system remains the place where work orders and customer commitments are managed. Decide how its reference is entered in the inspection subject so staff do not need to infer the link from a name. Quality Overview gives the manager a quick view of recent quality activity; the check and issue records retain the case detail needed for follow-up.
