Connections

Agree how subject references and measured values connect to existing work.

  • Quality Management
  • Production or service records
  • Measurement source
  • Document source

Systems to connect

  • Production or service records. Use a shared identifier for the item or service work entered as an inspection subject reference.
  • Measurement source. Agree where each observed quality value is calculated before an authorized Inspector records it in a Quality Review.
  • Document source. Decide how approved file versions are prepared before the attachment is added to Controlled Documents.

How connections are governed

Quality Manager owns the reference convention and checks that a reviewer can locate the original work. Inspector records the subject and check evidence in the quality app. Document Controller manages the attached version in the document record. A connection should preserve the original source identifier so the team can reconcile a case without copying entire source systems into quality records.
