What you can do

Review a specific snapshot

A property cash flow snapshot records a property, occurrence date, net cash amount and forecast scenario against an instruction and organization. It has its own revision and status. The Operations Analyst can prepare a Draft and submit it for an Independent Finance Reviewer to assess. Approved, Rejected and Completed distinguish the decision from later completion.

This structure helps a team discuss an actual entry rather than a general portfolio number. A snapshot of a property’s net cash for a particular date can be read alongside the instruction that gave it context. The reviewer can ask whether the property, date, amount and scenario match the supporting evidence. The organization link keeps the record in its operating scope.

How the work is organized

  • Capture. Enter the property, occurrence date, net cash amount and forecast scenario on the snapshot tied to the parent instruction.
  • Submit. Freeze the revision under review so a later edit does not inherit a decision intended for an earlier amount.
  • Decide. The Independent Finance Reviewer assesses the submitted snapshot and records the resulting state and decision time.

What to agree during setup

Agree how property names are written so that staff can compare snapshots for the same property. Define the source of the net cash amount, the meaning of each forecast scenario and the date convention used for occurrence. Decide who prepares snapshots and who reviews them. A scenario label is useful only when the team understands its assumptions outside the record.

Choose a first property and a narrow reporting period for the pilot. Link each snapshot to the intended instruction and organization before sending it for review. Where a property has more than one scenario, keep the scenario text distinct and verify the amount and date for each entry. Reviewers should read the parent instruction before deciding on a submitted snapshot.

Check the handoff on an actual case

Prepare a snapshot for a named property and a dated cash event. Record the net cash amount and scenario, link the correct instruction, and submit the current revision. Have the Independent Finance Reviewer compare it to the supporting evidence and make a decision. Check that a rejected case stays visible for correction, while an approved case carries its decision time. Change the amount in a new revision and confirm that the prior decision cannot be reused without review. Finally, inspect the completed list to make sure it reflects the intended property and parent instruction.

What your team sees

  • Snapshots Awaiting Review — Submitted property entries with their amount, scenario and parent request.
  • Completed Snapshots — Finished snapshots that can be compared by property and date.
