What you can do
Reconcile the external outcome
Execution Evidence is linked to a parent instruction. It records a line number and revision, with room for the provider event, occurrence time, executed quantity, price and fees. Its status distinguishes Pending, Verified and Rejected. These entries give the Independent Finance Reviewer a place to compare an external outcome with the instruction that was authorized.
An instruction can have more than one evidence line. The parent retains an evidence count while each line keeps its own status. Confirmation should reflect the full relevant evidence scope, not a single line that happened to arrive first. A provider reference on the instruction and a provider event ID on evidence serve as separate reconciliation anchors.
How the work is organized
- Receive. Link each provider event to the intended instruction and retain the event identity and line number.
- Compare. Check the source revision, organization, instrument, quantity, price and fees against the authorized request and provider response.
- Resolve. Verify a matching line or reject a discrepancy while keeping the parent instruction available for follow-up.
What to agree during setup
Identify the authorized provider and the form in which it returns acknowledgements and execution events. Agree who imports or records that evidence, who can verify it, and how duplicate provider event IDs are handled. Define what complete evidence means for a partly executed instruction. The provider handles trading, custody and money movement; the operations team reconciles the resulting records.
Choose a representative instruction with a known provider response for the first rehearsal. Preserve the external identity exactly as received. If a transport result is unknown, inspect the operation receipt and provider state before attempting another submission. Reissuing a request without that check risks treating one external outcome as two.
Check the handoff on an actual case
Submit an authorized instruction through the provider route, then attach a provider event with its quantity, price and fee. Have the Independent Finance Reviewer compare those values to the intended scope. Check that a matching event can be Verified and that a mismatched event remains Rejected with an explanation. Send the same event again and verify that it does not create a second accepted execution. Add a second valid line and confirm that the parent becomes Confirmed only after the full expected evidence is accounted for. Inspect the provider reference and event IDs during the review.
