Keys and references

Preserve record identities during migration. Domain records use their existing Id, and Users uses its User reference and Email. Users.User is a self-reference: establish the required account identities before resolving that link. Resolve People.User separately so workflow actor attribution points to the intended account.

Recipe name and Version are text fields. Match records using their preserved identities and the team’s naming convention. Lot number is text on stock and consumption records. An item and lot can appear in different inventory balances locations; preserve the source evidence needed to identify the exact balance affected by material posting.

Migration order

  1. Establish Users identities, resolve the User self-reference, then load People with validated User links.
  2. Load Items, Parties and Resources with the existing units, select values and identity mapping.
  3. Load Orders and order lines, then purchase orders and purchase lines against the established party and item records.
  4. Prepare work orders with resolved Product, Order and Resource links and actual planned dates.
  5. Load recipe versions with operational record, then recipe ingredients with resolved Recipe and Ingredient references.
  6. Reconcile inventory balances by Item, Location and lot number. Import material issues, production logs and Batches only with a reviewed historical-state procedure that avoids replaying consumption or finished-output receipt.

Reconcile stored Posted and Released states against known physical effects. Agree the opening quantities and historical workflow treatment before activating operational requests.
