Who it's for

Internal assurance teams

An assurance team needs a repeatable way to examine rule impact and the controls affected by it. The assessment holds the period and business unit scope. Test lines hold sample and exception counts, results and evidence references. Findings, corrective actions and retests preserve the path from an observed issue to its independently checked outcome.

How Regulatory Change Management is set up for you

Planned work

Set the assessment owner, scope and expected test count before testing begins.

Control evidence

Link every test line to a control and keep the result beside the evidence reference.

Issue follow-up

Give a finding severity, then assign a due date and owner for corrective action.

Independent outcome

Record a reviewer and evidence for each retest result.

An assurance team needs a repeatable way to examine rule impact and the controls affected by it. The assessment holds the period and business unit scope. Test lines hold sample and exception counts, results and evidence references. Findings, corrective actions and retests preserve the path from an observed issue to its independently checked outcome.

Select one business unit with an active risk and control. Create an assessment covering a defined period and assign a Control Owner. Prepare a test line, complete the test and enter a result with sample and exception counts. If the test fails, raise a finding and carry it through an action and independent retest. The case should explain the original issue and the later outcome without a separate spreadsheet.

Agree on the scale used for risk likelihood and impact, the evidence standard for a test result and the person who can review corrective work. Check how an inconclusive retest will be handled before the first case reaches that state. Once the pilot works, use the same field conventions across further assessments so reports compare like with like.
