Renewable project operators
A renewable project operator may have several business units preparing period-based assessment work. Renewable Energy Certificate keeps each assessment with its responsible organization, unit, owner, period and review history. The team can use the application record under that assessment to follow the submission and its provider application reference.
How Renewable Energy Certificate is set up for you
Start with operating units
Confirm each unit's organization, code, contact and active state before assigning a case.
Name the assessment clearly
Put the project or operating unit and period in the subject so the reviewer can identify the work.
Keep checks with the case
Dated test lines and attachments make the owner's evidence available under the same parent assessment.
Follow the decision
The independent reviewer records the choice, reason and source revision; the owner follows the application status afterward.

The team can use the application record under that assessment to follow the submission and its provider application reference.
Begin with one organization, one active business unit and one assessment period. Let the App Administrator confirm membership and have the Control Owner prepare a Draft assessment with a named owner. The Assessment Tester records a check using the appropriate evidence type. The reviewer can then inspect the attachment and decide against the current revision. This small cycle tests both data ownership and the handoff without mixing multiple units.
For example, an operator coordinating an application for a monthly period can record the applicant and the provider's application reference under the approved assessment. The team can see whether that application is Draft or Submitted while keeping the assessment review decision attached to the parent. An unresolved operation receipt remains visible for follow-up by key and failure reason.
Agree which external service owns certificate records and which person checks its confirmation. Connect that service as part of implementation; use the assessment and application records here for the internal work they actually hold. The [implementation guide](/renewable-energy-certificate/implementation) gives the team a rehearsal order.
