Client delivery teams
A client delivery team needs a shared record of what was requested for each engagement and how that work is progressing. Organizations identify the client; projects carry schedule, budget, owner and delivery method. Requirements and their items hold the requested work. Change impacts and time entries show the work that may affect the plan.
How Requirements Management is set up for you
Engagement context
Link the project to its organization and name the Project Manager responsible for dates and scope.
Requirement record
Keep a current revision and owner for each requested outcome before assigning delivery items.
Change response
Record change category, probability, impact and mitigation when the project plan is affected.
Effort evidence
Submit dated time entries against the project and relevant requirement item when one applies.

Organizations identify the client; projects carry schedule, budget, owner and delivery method. Requirements and their items hold the requested work. Change impacts and time entries show the work that may affect the plan.
Start with one client organization and one active project. Agree the delivery method and meaning of project start and end dates. Enter the current requirements before moving historical tasks across. For each requirement, check that its owner and project reference are right; a mistaken project link will confuse both the progress view and baseline review.
Use the item board in the team's work review, and look at blocked items before updating project status. When a change affects acceptance criteria, revise the requirement and submit a new baseline for review. A baseline decision should identify the version considered. Time entries can support a later comparison of logged hours with project estimates, but the team should define how it treats direct item actuals and submitted time during its pilot. Review any failed approval receipts before counting an entry as accepted effort.
