Coastal resorts
A coastal resort often schedules an activity while the guest is still choosing dates for the stay. The guest's lodging reservation and activity reservation should remain linked so a departure change can be checked against the actual visit. Front Desk can see the stay and unit, while Activity Coordinator can see the guide, session time and participant request.
How Resort Activity Booking is set up for you
Arrival desk
Review requested stays against available units, unit capacity and the guest's dates before confirming.
Guided sessions
Put each departure on the calendar with its guide, interval and capacity before taking guest bookings.
Daily service
Use cleaning, maintenance and guest-service tasks to keep unit state aligned with staff work.
Guest account
Review nightly charges and confirmed payments before an inspected unit returns to available.
Start with a few representative unit types, their dated rate plans and a staff roster that includes the guides who will lead departures. Enter one requested stay and follow it through confirmation and check-in. Schedule a departure during that stay and add an activity booking with a participant count that fits the session. Then test a rejected booking with too many participants so staff know how the exception appears.
Use an actual checkout example with a posted folio and a confirmed payment. Housekeeping should see the unit in cleaning until its inspection is complete and the account is settled. Front Desk should then be able to see the available unit for the next guest request. Agree who handles activity schedule changes and who contacts guests whose linked bookings are affected.
