Click Get started and use Proto to configure CPQ for Retail & E-Commerce for your business. Identify the selling organization and name the Quote Specialist, Pricing Reviewer and App Administrator for the initial scope. Agree who will inspect exceptions as Auditor.
Prepare the first operating cycle
Bring an active customer and a representative request with product quantities, USD unit prices and line discounts. Include a channel offer with its promotion code and validity date. Agree which customer evidence may be shared and retain the price book reference used for the offer.
Have Quote Specialist prepare the draft and request pricing. Pricing Reviewer checks the resulting revision and makes an independent decision. Rehearse a return for correction before recording valid customer acceptance. Set up the receiving order connection and follow the accepted quote to its actual external reference.
Review before release
Try a stale revision, self-approval and expired acceptance. Verify that repeating a handoff returns the same result, and that a missing connection leaves a Pending receipt. Auditor should be able to explain an operation that needs review from the retained evidence without repeating the action.
Agree who follows up on waiting work, then release the rehearsed scope. Use implementation for the rollout sequence and pricing for the usage model.
