Correction and reconciliation

Resolve operation discrepancies and change accepted scope through an authorized compensating action.

Step by step

  1. Inspect the exception Auditor

Auditor reads a receipt that is pending, has failed or needs review, along with its parent quote. Compare the recorded action and expected revision with the lines, decision evidence and effect references.

    • Identify the evidence supporting or disputing the result
    • Updates Operation receipts, Quotes, Quote lines, Review decisions
  2. Reconcile evidence Auditor

Reconciliation checks the recorded claim against the local commercial evidence. Real evidence can support completion; a discrepancy is marked as needing review with a concrete reason. The check does not repeat the business action to create success.

    • Inspect Completed or needs review results recorded by reconciliation
    • Updates Operation receipts, Quotes, Quote lines, Review decisions
  3. Request a correction Quote Specialist

Quote Specialist identifies the authorized scope. Unexecuted draft work can follow its cancellation path; accepted executed scope requires a compensating action that preserves the original evidence.

    • Identify the authorized draft or accepted scope
    • Updates Quotes, Operation receipts, Record attachments
  4. Authorize accepted-scope compensation Pricing Reviewer

Pricing Reviewer approves the compensating action for executed Accepted business. Quote Specialist follows its recorded result while Auditor retains visibility of the earlier acceptance and decision history.

    • Preserve accepted evidence while authorizing compensation
    • Updates Quotes, Review decisions, Operation receipts
ApprovalA person approves before the work moves on.

Where it usually breaks

And how to keep it from happening.

  • Retry used as investigation. Running the commercial action again can obscure whether the original request already had an effect.
  • Accepted history overwritten. A correction must leave the accepted offer and the original decision understandable.
  • Shared attachment misunderstood. Shared visibility still needs authorized access to the underlying quote and organization.
