Reconcile and correct

Verify posted quantity and preserve original movements when a correction is needed.

Step by step

  1. Read the source scope Inventory Supervisor

Inventory Supervisor checks the request's authorized quantity, item and location against its disposition decision and any return grade.

    • Establishes authorized quantity
    • Updates Stock requests, Review decisions, Return grades
  2. Total posted movements Inventory Supervisor

The supervisor follows the movement ledger for the request, including any linked compensating postings. Draft or rejected movements are not a posted stock effect.

    • Calculates actual stock effect
    • Updates Stock movements, Stock lots
  3. Verify completion Inventory Supervisor

The reconciliation workflow compares the posted total with authorized quantity. A match writes a verified operation receipt. A mismatch writes a failed receipt and leaves the request unchanged.

    • Records verified result or failed mismatch
    • Updates Operation receipts, Stock requests
  4. Correct the stock effect Inventory Supervisor

Inventory Supervisor reverses a wrong posted movement with a linked compensating movement. The original posting remains immutable and the lot balance receives the offset. Repeating the same reversal returns the existing correction.

    • Posts a linked offset and updates lot balance
    • Updates Stock movements, Stock lots
  5. Recheck the case Inventory Supervisor

After a justified correction, the supervisor reviews the updated movement trail and receipt register against the request before choosing another authorized action.

    • Confirms the documented outcome
    • Updates Operation receipts, Stock movements
