Boutique properties
A boutique property often has a small set of distinct rooms and suites. Unit type and capacity matter when a proposed rate for a stay date meets a real booking request. The team can use the recorded reason on a recommendation to explain a price decision without changing the rate on an already recorded reservation.
How Revenue Management System is set up for you
Review the date
Keep observation and stay dates separate so the team can revisit its reasoning.
Protect room identity
Check unit number and capacity for each request before confirmation.
Assign turnover
Link cleaning or maintenance work to the room and relevant stay.
A boutique property often has a small set of distinct rooms and suites. Unit type and capacity matter when a proposed rate for a stay date meets a real booking request. The team can use the recorded reason on a recommendation to explain a price decision without changing the rate on an already recorded reservation.
Begin with the room and suite types already used by the property. Set effective rate plan dates and minimum nights. Bring in a small sample of demand observations and proposed changes, including one invalid submission whose reason can be reviewed. Verify that the earlier proposal stays unchanged. Have the service coordinator rehearse a room released to Cleaning after checkout.
Before widening the property scope, ask Revenue Manager to show the reason for a changed rate, Front Desk Agent to demonstrate a valid and an invalid booking, and Finance Clerk to explain the difference between posted charges and confirmed payments. Review the unit released to Cleaning with Service Coordinator. Keep the sample records so each person can check the same case during training.
