Internal initiative teams
An internal project still has decisions about capacity, timing and quality. The project can use the Internal delivery method while retaining a named owner and schedule. Its risk register gives the team a place to discuss exposure, and tasks show who is carrying the response through day-to-day work.
How Risk Management is set up for you
Resource exposure
Use the Resource category when available people or specialist time threaten delivery.
Response ownership
Name the person responsible for the mitigation separately from the task assignee.
Workload review
Look at blocked and in-flight tasks beside each person's weekly capacity.
Decision evidence
Keep review decisions and operation receipts available when work is questioned.
An internal project still has decisions about capacity, timing and quality. The project can use the Internal delivery method while retaining a named owner and schedule. Its risk register gives the team a place to discuss exposure, and tasks show who is carrying the response through day-to-day work.
Choose a single initiative with a clear planned end date. Record the project, its owner and the first work package. Add a Resource risk about a person needed for a critical task. The Risk Owner assesses likelihood and impact, writes a mitigation to prepare another contributor, and schedules a review with the Project Manager.
The Delivery Lead assigns the preparation task. If that task becomes Blocked, the next review should show both the blocked delivery work and the unchanged risk exposure. If the substitute becomes available, the Risk Owner can reassess the risk and decide whether Monitoring or Mitigated is accurate. The Project Manager separately decides whether the initiative's status needs to change.
Agree who records weekly capacity on Team Members and how the project manager uses that information. The task estimates and actual hours help frame the conversation, but the team should review the named assignment and due date before committing to a new plan. Keep checkpoint outcomes visible so the next lead can see when a review happened or was missed.
