Keys and references

A statement refers to its parent document and organization. Review decisions, attachments and operation receipts refer to the accounting document, so statement evidence is followed through that parent. A document refers to organization, owner and counterparty. Journal entries refer to the document and period; journal lines refer to accounts. Cash applications refer to a receipt and document. The operation key links a guarded action to its result. Preserve these references when importing or correcting records.

Migration order

  1. Load organizations, users and team members, then business partners.
  2. Load ledger accounts, accounting periods and effective exchange rates.
  3. Load accounting documents, document lines, statements and attachments.
  4. Bring in decisions and operation receipts with source revisions intact.
  5. Bring in journals and verified receipts, then applications, reconciling each effect.
