How a Royalty Accounting rollout works

Set up one complete royalty cycle and verify each financial handoff.

  1. Establish scope

Select an organization, partner, contract and accounting period for the first cycle.

  2. Prepare references

Check team membership, partner eligibility and active ledger accounts.

  3. Review a statement

Enter usage and evidence, submit a revision and record an independent decision.

  4. Post value

Approve the document, use an open period and confirm balanced saved journal lines.

  5. Reconcile cash

Verify one provider receipt, apply a partial amount and inspect the remaining balances and operation results.

What the customer provides

Provide contract terms and usage evidence, the finance team’s partner and account records, accounting period dates, and the people who prepare, review and post. Supply the payment provider event identifier and the owner of receipt verification. Decide which evidence may be shared beyond the internal team.

Changing it afterwards

Revisions preserve earlier review decisions. For an accepted or posted amount, use the independent correction and compensating journal route. Reconcile operation receipts and existing effects before retrying an uncertain action. Extend to further contracts and partners after the first cycle can be explained from source through cash.
