Systems to connect
- Identity provider. Supply reliable person and application allocation information when that system owns access.
- Application providers. Supply activity or license events for subscriptions that support those events.
- Purchasing and billing. Supply authoritative seat counts, monthly cost and renewal terms when held outside this app.
- Service channels. Decide how requests and incidents enter the service team’s working records.
How connections are governed
Name an owner for each connection and agree which system is authoritative for each value. Keep the provider, external event ID, received date, payload hash and outcome on a receipt when events are ingested. A received event is an intake state; check the target subscription or usage record before treating the change as applied. Review rejected and failed receipts with the Finance Officer and route business corrections to the Service Manager.
