How the model is organised

Organization and people

Organizations, business units, team members and Users locate the work and its owners.

Risk and control

Risks and Controls give each check its hazard context and effective measure.

Assessment and testing

Assessments and assessment tests define the period and sampled results.

Investigation and response

Safety investigations, Findings and corrective actions carry the event and response.

Evidence and review

Retests, review decisions, record attachments and operation receipts preserve the check and recorded outcome.

Keys and references

The assessment is the parent for tests, investigations, attachments, decisions and operation receipts. A finding references both an assessment and a control. A corrective action and retest each point to a finding. An investigation describes corrective action in text. Follow the finding under the assessment to its action record. Decisions, attachments and operation receipts point to the assessment; match the source revision and case context when reviewing an investigation. Team member references identify assessment, risk, control and action owners, plus reviewers and uploaders. Keep those links intact during migration so an old decision still explains the source case.

Migration order

  1. Organization. Create organizations, operating units, users and team members.
  2. Hazard context. Add risks and controls with their owners and effective dates.
  3. Period scope. Add assessments and link tests and investigations to them.
  4. Response. Add findings, corrective actions and retests.
  5. Review trail. Add decisions, attachments and operation receipts with their original references.
