Who it's for

Safety governance teams

A safety governance team reviews how local findings move to accountable correction. Period assessments give the team a consistent frame: organization, operating unit, owner, scope and dates. Tests show samples and exceptions. Findings carry severity and status. Corrective actions show who is responsible, when work is due and whether a response has been submitted for review.

How Safety / Incident Reporting is set up for you

Period ownership

Safety Manager keeps each assessment's scope and owner clear.

Exception review

Control Tester records the result and supporting reference for each check.

Decision record

Independent Reviewer records an outcome against the version examined.

Follow-up

Action Owner supplies evidence and the reviewer checks the response.

A governance review may find several open gaps across operating units. The team can read the finding description and severity, compare due dates and check which actions have reached retest. It can also read the Review Decisions record to understand why a submitted case was approved, rejected or returned. That reason is part of the management record, not merely a label on a dashboard.

Begin with one assessment period and a small set of active controls. Agree how controls are coded and how the team scores likelihood, impact and severity. Assign a different person to remediation and review. Walk one finding through action submission, retest and a decision. Review the operation receipt when a guarded action runs and compare its result with the investigation status.

Use Operations Overview to focus discussion on unresolved findings and pending review. The detailed assessment, test and action records should remain available when someone asks what produced a result. Set a recurring review of overdue action dates and inconclusive retests using the fields already recorded in the case.
