Payment and outcome reconciliation

Compare provider events and operation claims with actual booking evidence before recording a verified outcome.

Step by step

  1. Locate the unresolved evidence Booking Supervisor

Payment Reviewer examines provider events for the selected booking. Booking Supervisor identifies pending or failed operation receipts and the expected scope of each attempt.

    • Identify the booking and attempts requiring examination
    • Updates Operation receipts, Payment evidence, Bookings
  2. Compare the identities and effects Booking Supervisor

Check the parent booking, provider reference or local effect, expected revision and relevant quantities. Read payment event types separately so an authorization and capture are not counted as the same kind of outcome.

    • Compare scope, identity, quantities and revision
    • Updates Bookings, Booking resources, Review decisions, Operation receipts, Payment evidence
  3. Record the supported result Booking Supervisor

Booking Supervisor records completion only when the expected effects match the evidence. Route unsupported or conflicting results to needs review with a concrete discrepancy. Payment Reviewer supplies the relevant payment-evidence interpretation.

    • Record evidenced completion or a concrete discrepancy
    • Updates Operation receipts
  4. Follow the discrepancy Booking Coordinator

Booking Coordinator or the connection owner resolves the identified issue through the agreed procedure. Auditor reads the retained history; reconciliation itself does not blindly repeat external execution.

    • Retain the follow-up evidence without repeating effects blindly
    • Updates Operation receipts, Record attachments, Bookings

Where it usually breaks

And how to keep it from happening.

  • The quoted amount is presented as money collected. Use the provider event and its verification state.
  • An uncertain receipt is marked complete because the booking screen looks correct. Compare the actual expected effects.
  • A repeated provider event is treated as another payment. Reconcile its provider identity before interpreting totals.
  • Reconciliation triggers a fresh external action. Separate investigation from any explicitly authorized corrective execution.
