Who it's for

Lot-tracked storage

For goods managed by lot, the stock item indicates lot tracking and each lot carries its code, expiry date, release state and owner reference. A released lot can support an approved request when free quantity remains at the intended location.

How 3PL SCM is set up for you

Lot identity

Keep lot code, item and owner reference together when stock is claimed.

Release evidence

Inventory Reviewer checks release state and expiry before Warehouse Operator uses the lot.

Free quantity

Compare posted on-hand with active claims at the exact item, site and lot.

Correction trail

A count or return uses a linked compensating movement with the first posting retained.

For goods managed by lot, the stock item indicates lot tracking and each lot carries its code, expiry date, release state and owner reference. A released lot can support an approved request when free quantity remains at the intended location.

A quarantined or blocked lot stays visible to the reviewer while the Warehouse Operator uses eligible stock. A linked movement records the physical issue; a correction keeps the original posting and points back to it. The Reconciliation Analyst investigates uncertain outcomes in the exception queue. A repeated source action must resolve through its operation key, while a changed source revision needs a new decision.

Choose a lot-tracked item with one released lot and one quarantined lot at the same client site. Coordinator prepares an approved request in the item's base unit. Warehouse Operator calculates free quantity from posted movements after active claims and selects only the released, unexpired lot. Try to claim the quarantined lot and confirm it is refused. After physical issue, compare the consumed reservation with the negative posted movement. If the count later differs, Inventory Reviewer examines the evidence before a compensating movement is posted. Reconciliation Analyst checks both effects and the original receipt, including a repeated operation key.
