Step by step

1. Prepare the allocation scope Inventory Coordinator

   The Inventory Coordinator identifies the item, location and requested quantity in the item's base unit. Confirm the relevant lot context and required date before submitting the request.

   • Define the requested item, quantity and location

2. Authorize the request Inventory Reviewer

   The Inventory Reviewer independently approves the eligible frozen scope. The assigned Inventory Coordinator initiates the applicable reservation path for the approved request.

   ApprovalA person approves before the work moves on.

3. Check eligible free stock Inventory Coordinator

   Read posted movements and active reservations for the exact item and location. Examine the lot context and determine whether the requested allocation fits the eligible quantity remaining after existing claims.

   • Compare eligible stock with existing active claims
   • Updates Stock movements, Stock reservations, Stock lots

4. Retain the reservation Inventory Coordinator

   Record the eligible claim with its request, item, location, quantity, expiry and applicable lot. The Inventory Coordinator can then explain which request holds that stock.

   • Establish the eligible Active claim
   • Updates Stock reservations, Stock requests

5. Follow consumption or release Inventory Coordinator

   Use the applicable guarded execution or correction path as the approved work proceeds or changes. Inspect the resulting reservation state, posted effect and receipt together before treating the operation as settled.

   • Trace the claim's later state and corresponding effect
   • Updates Stock reservations, Stock movements, Operation receipts
