How a Cold Chain SCM rollout works

Start with a limited stock range and rehearse each decision and outcome.

  1. Set the operating scope

Select the first organization, active team members, items and storage locations. Agree who owns requests and who reviews them.

  2. Prepare stock identity

Record item base units and lot codes, expiry dates and release states. Review location eligibility notes with the operating team.

  3. Rehearse a request

Create a Draft request, attach evidence, submit it for Review and record an independent decision against the revision.

  4. Rehearse a hold

Record a sensor reference and excursion measurements, submit the cold chain review and capture the disposition decision.

  5. Reconcile quantity

Compare active reservations with posted movements and operation receipts for one item, location and lot.

  6. Review exceptions

Work through a Failed or needs review receipt before broadening the operating scope.

What the customer provides

Provide the first organization and team membership, item catalog, lot codes and expiry dates, storage locations and a sample of real requests. Supply the evidence convention for temperature events and the people who can make reviewer decisions. If sensor or stock data comes from another system, identify its owner, identifiers and timing.

Changing it afterwards

When the team adds an item, location or organization, revisit the role assignment and reporting scope. Keep historical request revisions, decisions and movements available. For stock corrections, use the related movement and operation evidence to explain the change. Rehearse a new connection with one request before making it part of daily operations.
