How a Dropshipping SCM rollout works

Pilot one order cycle from customer entry through supplier and fulfillment evidence.

  1. Set the operating scope

Choose an organization, order owner, customer group and product range for the pilot.

  2. Load reference data

Prepare organization and customer codes, team identities and product SK us.

  3. Run the order cycle

Enter a customer order and lines, confirm it, submit a supplier route and record an independent review decision.

  4. Add outside evidence

Record supplier response, provider payment events and dated fulfillment events with their original references.

  5. Rehearse exceptions

Check a rejected route, partial shipment, duplicate external event and failed operation receipt before adding more channels.

What the customer provides

Provide the active organization and customer list, staff responsible for each decision, product identifiers, order references and a small set of actual provider and fulfillment examples. Agree which system owns each external ID and who can resolve exceptions. Use a real promised-date case so open work can be checked against the team’s daily process.

Changing it afterwards

Review order and route revisions before changing records under review. Keep decisions, operation receipts and original external event IDs. Add another organization or channel only after the team has reconciled a complete pilot order and its exception path.
