How a E-commerce Fulfillment SCM rollout works

Set up identity, order intake, physical events, review and provider evidence in operating order.

  1. Establish identity

Load operating organizations, users, team members, customers and products. Check customer and SKU references with the people who own them.

  2. Prepare order intake

Import a small group of draft orders and lines with stable channel and external order identifiers. Reconcile promised dates, values and quantities.

  3. Walk the fulfillment path

Record allocation, pick, shipment and delivery events against the same order. Include a partial shipment and a repeated external event.

  4. Rehearse decisions

Submit a label revision for independent review. Test rejection, correction and approval, then inspect the decision reason and source revision.

  5. Connect evidence

Bring in payment provider events and supporting attachments. Reconcile a returned order and an uncertain operation receipt before broadening use.

What the customer provides

Provide sample orders, SKU mapping, customer and organization ownership, team identities, carrier account details and payment provider event examples. Name the staff who will prepare work, make decisions and reconcile exceptions. Include a duplicate import, a late shipping message and a partial return in the sample set.

Changing it afterwards

Review each change against open orders and existing operation receipts. Keep earlier revisions, decisions and external event identities available. Test the changed connection on a representative order before using it for new work. Review roles and integrations with the operating team.
