How a Food Distribution SCM rollout works

Set up destinations and catalogue records, then rehearse the full service cycle.

  1. Operating map

Set up organizations, active team members, delivery points and access for the people who will own orders and review dispatch.

  2. Menu basis

Load products, ingredients, approved recipe revisions and allergen declarations. Check units and portion yields with Kitchen Lead.

  3. Order cycle

Rehearse a draft order through feasibility, acceptance, preparation and service, preserving each actual timestamp and quantity.

  4. Dispatch and movement

Submit a ticket revision for independent review, release its approved scope and record shipped, delivered or returned product quantities.

  5. Exception review

Reconcile a failed receipt, a partial service cancellation and payment evidence before staff use the cycle for live work.

What the customer provides

Provide current organization and destination records, staff assignments, active menu products, ingredient declarations, approved recipes and the service rules used for capacity. Name the dispatch supervisor and exception reviewer. Supply the payment and delivery event sources that will provide external references, along with examples of their actual evidence.

Changing it afterwards

Review changes to accepted scope against the current revision. A changed submitted dispatch ticket needs a new supervisor decision. Keep historical recipe, service, movement and payment evidence when correcting executed work. Rehearse the change with an order that has already been partly prepared or served, so the team sees exactly what remains and what must be retained.
