Outlet distribution

An operator supplying its own outlets can use the same order and delivery point records to keep destination, product and movement evidence together. The order describes the accepted scope and planned service time. Distribution events tell the team whether product was allocated, picked, shipped, delivered or returned. Those distinctions matter when an outlet reports that only part of a shipment arrived.

How Food Distribution SCM is set up for you

Outlet identity

Use a delivery point code, contact and address for each active outlet.

Product basis

Keep active products with their SKU, unit and standard price for catalogue review.

Movement trail

Record product quantity and occurrence time on each distribution event, along with its external event identity.

Exception work

Compare uncertain operation receipts with actual events before repeating an action.

Choose one organization, a few outlets and the packaged products they receive. Have Order Coordinator prepare an order for an active outlet. Delivery Operator records allocation and picking, then ships the approved scope. For a partial arrival, record the actual delivered quantity instead of copying the shipped quantity. If goods come back, add a return event and retain the shipment history.

During rehearsal, use a duplicate external event identity to practice finding the first event. Ask Exception Reviewer to follow the operation key, expected revision and effect references before closing the receipt. Agree how outlet staff supply arrival evidence and when the operator attaches it to the order. Payment evidence stays connected to the provider process where the sale requires it.
