Warehouse operations
A warehouse team can use requests to organize material movement and scanned evidence across its storage locations. The location record carries a code, address and eligibility note, while the item and lot records describe the stock handled there. The team can follow an approved request through a reservation, scan and posted movement.
How SCM with Barcode/RFID is set up for you
Shift requests
Assign an owner and required date so the coordinator can separate urgent work from later tasks.
Physical reads
Link a tag and device event to the request that prompted the handling.
Stock claims
Compare active reservations with posted movement history before promising the same stock elsewhere.
Exception review
Let the reviewer inspect failed operation outcomes and disputed scans with the original request.
A warehouse team can use requests to organize material movement and scanned evidence across its storage locations. The location record carries a code, address and eligibility note, while the item and lot records describe the stock handled there. The team can follow an approved request through a reservation, scan and posted movement.
Begin with one organization, a small set of active items and known storage locations. Choose a lot-tracked item whose label and base unit staff already understand. Enter a request that identifies the source location and quantity, then have a separate reviewer record a decision on its revision. The coordinator can record a physical scan and compare it with the intended item and lot.
A good rehearsal includes a retry from a scanner. Staff should find the earlier device event and check the linked request before entering any new movement. It should also include a short physical pick, so the team can compare requested, reserved, scanned and posted quantities. Use the movement history as the source for on-hand stock and active reservations when judging what remains available.
Operations Overview gives the Inventory Reviewer a place to inspect stock, outstanding decisions and failed work. The underlying records should answer every exception question. If the available figure looks low, trace it to the item and location reservations. If an action is uncertain, inspect its operation receipt and linked effects.
