Integrations

Plan device and external data connections around stable request and action identities.

  • SCM with Barcode/RFID
  • Barcode or RFID devices
  • Label service
  • Stock source

Systems to connect

  • Barcode or RFID devices. Map the tag and device event identity to the right request, organization and scan time.
  • Label service. Agree how labels identify an item or lot and where printed tag values are maintained.
  • Stock source. If another system owns part of the inventory record, agree which posted effects are exchanged and how they are reconciled.

How connections are governed

Choose an owner for each connection and test a real event before operating it. Keep a stable identity when a scanner retries the same read or an outside system resends a result. A tag that cannot be resolved to the expected stock should be held for review. Compare any external response with the request revision and linked local effects before declaring an operation complete. See implementation for the rehearsal order.
