Field stock programs
Field sites often hold a limited quantity of consigned goods for work that has not happened yet. The useful question is what is physically at the site, what is already claimed and what has actually been consumed. Storage locations, reservations, stock movements and usage records answer those questions from different points in the work.
How SCM with Consignment Tracking is set up for you
Named site
Give each field location an organization, code, contact and eligibility note that the coordinator can recognize.
Available stock
Read on-hand and available consigned stock in Operations Overview before creating another claim.
Request owner
Assign each stock request to a team member and set its required date and requested units.
Use evidence
Keep an attachment on the request and a separate consumption record with used date and agreement reference.

The useful question is what is physically at the site, what is already claimed and what has actually been consumed. Storage locations, reservations, stock movements and usage records answer those questions from different points in the work.
Start with one active item and a small set of storage locations. Receive stock at one site, then prepare a reviewed move to the field location. The movement history should show the signed effects at the relevant sites. Create a reservation for expected use and follow it to an actual issue.
When the field team confirms use, enter the consumed units against the parent request. Have an Inventory Reviewer compare that record with the reservation and movement before completion. A remaining active hold should be reconciled rather than left indefinitely. The expiry date on the reservation gives the coordinator a natural time to revisit it.
Agree who supplies the physical-use confirmation and how quickly the operating team enters it. If the field location uses lot-tracked stock, review lot release state and expiry before a reservation is used. Rehearse a wrong-site request and a partial issue; those cases reveal whether staff can distinguish a held claim from an actual stock reduction.
