How a SCM with Container Tracking rollout works

Configure a first freight cycle and rehearse booking review through delivery.

  1. Set the scope

Choose an organization, time zone, carrier and named Dispatcher and Transport Supervisor for the pilot.

  2. Prepare master records

Enter the transport partner, eligible drivers, ready vehicles and team members used by the first loads.

  3. Load operating work

Create loads with promises, route stops and container bookings, then add assignment intervals.

  4. Rehearse review

Submit a booking, have a different person record the decision, and inspect its reason and action receipt.

  5. Run delivery

Confirm pickup, record actual stop times, complete a delivery and keep a partial delivery as an explicit exception.

  6. Read exceptions

Review a failed receipt against the load revision and supporting file before deciding the next action.

What the customer provides

Provide organization and carrier codes, active team membership, driver eligibility, vehicle readiness, sample load promises, vessel booking details and the source of actual arrival information. Agree the contract and process used for free-time and demurrage decisions. Choose a real shipment whose route and evidence can be checked by both dispatch and supervision.

Changing it afterwards

Keep a load’s original promise and prior action receipts when ETA or assignment information changes. Review the current booking revision after a material change. Add new partners, lanes and users after the pilot case can be traced from preparation to its delivered or exception outcome. Use the data model to preserve references during import.
