How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure SCM with Cycle Counting for your business. Begin with one organization, a small set of items and locations, and one count that a separate reviewer can decide.

What is the difference between on hand and available?

Posted stock movements determine on hand. Active reservations reduce the quantity available for another request without changing the physical on-hand position.

Can a count be reviewed independently?

Yes. A submitted count session is linked to its stock request. The review decision records the reviewer, source revision, decision and reason.

Where does a recount go?

The count session has a recount quantity alongside the physical quantity. Supporting files can be attached to the parent stock request.

What happens when a count is rejected?

The session can carry Rejected status and the reviewer records a reason. The team can revisit the observation and submit corrected scope for another decision.

How are posted corrections traced?

A compensating stock movement can reference the original movement through its reversal reference, preserving the original ledger history.

How do reservations affect a count?

A reservation is a claim on available quantity. It does not alter the physical observation or the movement-derived on-hand balance.

Can we track lots and expiry?

Stock lots carry lot code, expiry date and release state. Movements and reservations can point to a lot.

What if an operation fails?

Operation receipts keep failed and review-needed outcomes with an operation key, reason and effect references for investigation.

Who closes a count cycle?

Program Manager checks the reviewer decision and reconciled effect before treating the count session as completed.
