Multi-location stock teams
A team operating several storage locations needs to know which item and lot a request concerns, who owns the work and where the resulting stock was recorded. SCM with Lot Tracking keeps organizations, locations, requests and signed movements connected. Start with a short list of active locations and the items that move between them most often.
How SCM with Lot Tracking is set up for you
Named places
Each location has a code, contact, address and eligibility note, so a reviewer can tell similar sites apart.
Reviewed movement work
The request records owner, item, location, counterparty, quantity and due date. An independent reviewer records a decision on its revision.
Lot trace
The lot's expiry and release state accompany the item context; movement history can identify the lot involved.
Correction trail
A compensating movement can refer to the original, preserving the explanation for a changed balance.
A team operating several storage locations needs to know which item and lot a request concerns, who owns the work and where the resulting stock was recorded. SCM with Lot Tracking keeps organizations, locations, requests and signed movements connected. Start with a short list of active locations and the items that move between them most often.
Choose one organization, two active locations and a few items with known base units. Include an item with two lots whose expiry dates differ. App Administrator confirms the setup; Inventory Coordinator prepares a move request and attaches supporting material. Inventory Reviewer checks the requested revision and location pairing. The team then reads the operation receipt and signed movement to confirm what was recorded.
Rehearse an exception with a receipt marked needs review. Compare the expected revision with the current request and inspect the stock effect before the team treats the move as complete. If a correction is needed, follow the later movement back to the first. This gives the team a concrete way to review both routine transfers and mistakes.
