- Lot recall response
Lot recall response
When a lot needs investigation, the team must agree which stock is affected and which actions have already been recorded. Recall Scopes keep a lot code, reason, affected units, organization and parent request together. Review Decisions retain the reviewer and source revision. Stock Movements and Stock Reservations provide the related stock trail.
How SCM with Lot Tracking is set up for you
Clear scope
The coordinator records the lot code, affected units and reason on a scope tied to a stock request.
Independent decision
The reviewer decides the submitted revision and leaves a reason that can be read later.
Connected effects
Movements show signed quantities and locations; reservations show active claims on the item and optional lot.
Reconciliation
Operation receipts show the action result and any failure reason for follow-up.
Choose one known lot with a movement to another location and an active reservation. App Administrator checks item and location setup. Inventory Coordinator opens a recall scope, enters the reason and affected units, and connects supporting evidence to the parent request. Inventory Reviewer inspects the scope revision, lot context and related stock records before deciding.
Then ask the team to find every linked movement and reservation and compare those records with the affected units. A short lot code may recur, so include the item and organization in the review. Work through a needs review receipt and document the next decision before completing the scope. An Auditor should be able to follow the authorized history from request to decision and stock effect.
